C2023 Conference Proposal Guidelines

The 2023 CES Conference Organizing Committee announces that it will publish guidelines for the preparation of proposals for workshops, papers and thematic breakfasts on November 30.

These guidelines will emphasize the importance of linking proposals to the theme and sub-themes of the conference, clarify expectations around cultural appropriation, outline expectations around the topic of the natural environment, identify the process for filing out a proposal as well as the information required and the assessment criteria for each type of proposal.

You will have from November 30 to December 7 to discuss your draft proposals with your colleagues since the period for submitting proposals as such will then open, until January 23. Other important dates marking the preparation for the conference are published on the website.

Looking forward to reading you!

CESBC DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

CESBC continues to work toward advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the evaluation field. We recently developed a DEI statement showing our commitment to this work. Please read it here: https://evaluationbc.ca/DEI-Commitment

We also invite you to apply for the newly created Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund, which provides financial support to individuals from underrepresented groups to pursue evaluation-related professional development opportunities. Click here for more information: https://evaluationbc.ca/DEI-Fund. We have also added more information to the CESBC DEI community resource document, please review.

Are you interested in joining the DEI conversation at CESBC? We would like to hear your perspective. Do you have a favourite DEI initiative, speakers, or resources?
